About the team

The current technology team is in the payments domain and is involved with merchant processing and acquiring. We are an integral part of the end-to-end process of supporting purchasing and payments of goods and service from the point of sale and at the e-commerce level.

We operate in areas of financial authorization, Clearing, Settlement and day to day operational aspects with merchant onboarding and maintenance activities. We are the background process that allows customers to buy and retrieve goods from their everyday merchant stores and big box retailers.

What you will be doing

You will be an active problem solver and a solution-oriented developer in the payments space. You will be involved in our end-to-end agile development lifecycle and be responsible for automation and deployment activities within our space.

You will assist junior level and less experience team members with solving complex problems. You will be responsible for new development, issue resolution, and some aspects of vulnerability management.

  • Identifying root causes of problems, discuss, and challenge solutions in an open forum.

  • Looking for both short term and long solutions to problems.

  • Being a team player, accountable for your work product working in groups of 3 to 5 team members at time.

What you bring

  • 5 - 8 years of experience.

  • Experience with Unix systems and shell scripting.

  • C and C++ Languages and development with some experience with Python and Perl scripting.

  • SQL development, Oracle, and querying with a good knowledge of table structures and data management.

  • Experience with rest APIs, XML.

  • Experience with Jira, bit bucket and development tools.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience with GDB compiler.

  • Soap UI to work on API testing.

  • Experience with Java utilities.

  • Experience with a Payments Switch or Card brand compliance manuals.

  • Experience will application architecture and design or its principles.
