Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Cleared System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are seeking cleared systems administrators who are interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting edge technologies to include: directed energy, missile defense, and space systems. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving various facets to information technology and information security to design, configure, maintain, and protect a US Government Customer information system within a Science and Technology lab environment. Our team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges.

Duties Include:

    System Administration of isolated, air-gapped Information Systems according to JSIG security requirements.
  • Support Command IG inspections, internal validation and verification, staff assisted visits, and security controls assessor visits for information system security controls review.
  • Coordinate with internal/external customer agencies to ensure timely and accurate resolution to Information Assurance related concerns during the IS lifecycle.
  • Support users with account management and software installation as requested.
  • Provide input and validation to support information system Risk Management Framework package lifecycle.
  • Work in an agile development environment that requires initiative, attention to detail, independent thought and action, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with information systems deployments in an air-gapped environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II or III certified upon hire
  • Experience in information systems architecture, installation, STIG hardening, and maintenance within and across multiple classification levels and enclaves.
  • Experience with configuring and executing software, system, and vulnerability scanning tools and remediating findings
  • Experience with data redundancy and backup methodologies
  • Familiarity with JSIG Rev 4 and/or ICD 503 processes and regulations for authorizing information systems
  • Experience with administration of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012,2016,2019..etc)
  • Experience in User account and access control management (Active Directory, LDAP, User Access Control) in an enclave domain or stand-alone, air-gapped environment.
  • Automation with bash, Powershell, Ansible, WSUS, SCCM, or other orchestration tools.
  • Travel: 10 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, mathematics) and 3-7 years or more of professional experience.

  • Additional 4 years of experience required in lieu of Bachelors degree can be substituted.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lb is required. The physical ability to install, inspect and maintain computer systems, networks, and wiring in enclosed spaces is also required.

Desired Skills:

  • Virtualization system administrator experience with VMWare vSphere, ESXI, or Hyper-V deployment and maintenance.
  • Operating systems, networking, or higher tier computing environment certifications such as RHCSA, Microsoft Certified Professional (Server/Infrastructure focus)
  • Cloud administration experience with Azure, Amazon, or Google PaaS, IaaS, or SaaS activities
  • Experience with administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS, and other open-source operating systems
  • Experience with layer 2 and layer 3 switch/router configuration and deployment and interconnection of various network architectures
