Job Description:
TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students.
Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments, and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences.
Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC.
The Target Hiring Range for the position is $ 50,647.96 - $58,245.16
The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience

INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY:
Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques.
INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT:
Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, equipment security where applicable, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
STUDENT RETENTION AND PLACEMENT:
Performs student advisement such that students are provided with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information. Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to ensure students receive current information on tutoring and other programs designed to increase retention.
PROGRAM RECRUITMENT & PROMOTION:
Participate in related tours and recruitment events. Assist in department/program planning for recruitment.
TEAMWORK & SERVICE:
Demonstrates a willingness to be of service and exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior toward customers (students, parents, employers, and media), organizational coworkers, and other general public contacts. Maintains flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignment, as appropriate; able to work effectively in a team environment; commitment to the mission, vision and values of the college.

ARCHITECTURAL/CIVIL DRAFTING TECHNOLOGY
* Software Proficiency: of industry-standard Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
* familiarity with additional programs like BlueBeam, Navisworks, Twinmotion, Lumion, Photoshop a plus
* Design Knowledge: A strong understanding of architectural design principles, including building codes, materials and methods, structural systems, surveying principles, site analysis techniques, principles and components of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), electrical (power distribution, lighting, communication), and plumbing systems.
* Building Information Modeling (BIM) Mastery: comprehensive understanding of Revit architectural, structural, MEP, and Civil to create 3D models and generate construction documents
* Industry Experience: Prior experience working with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firms.
* Project Experience Across Different Building Types: Residential, Commercial, or Institutional buildings
* Experience with Different Project Phases: involvement in all stages of a project, from initial design concepts to construction documents and construction administration, understanding of the building design process.
* Client Interaction and Communication: Experience interfacing with clients, design decision-making process and communication of design intentions.
* Collaboration on Teams: experience working effectively within Architecture, Engineering and Construction teams understanding different perspectives in a project.
Preferred Skills, knowledge, and certifications or licenses
ARCHITECTURAL/CIVIL DRAFTING TECHNOLOGY
* A minimum of 3 years of experience within architectural, structural, civil, or MEP engineering firms.
* Proven proficiency in industry-standard drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit and Civil-3D - Mandatory) proficiency with programs like BlueBeam, Navisworks, Twinmotion, Lumion, Photoshop a plus
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant building codes and industry standards.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills, with an effective teaching style that fosters a culture of deep learning.
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging presentations that engage students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
* Design Knowledge: Advanced understanding of architectural design principles, including building codes, materials and methods, structural systems, surveying principles, site analysis techniques, principles and components of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), electrical (power distribution, lighting, communication), and plumbing systems
* Familiarity with instructional Design and Develop, implementation of innovative assessment strategies to evaluate student comprehension and progress.
* Prior teaching experience, especially within a technical field, of architectural, structural, civil, or MEP engineering.
* Certifications in industry-leading drafting software programs (AutoCAD, Revit, civil-3D) are highly preferred.
* Actively engaged in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of emerging trends, building codes, and drafting standards.
* Quantifiable Achievements of skills advancement and career growth in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industries.
Education and Experience
Required
* Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology's teaching discipline.
* Verifiable professional experience may be accepted in lieu of other requirements as approved by the Vice Chancellor who oversees academic programs, or his/her designee.*
