Job Description:

Position Summary

Plans, initiates, and performs manufacturing activities for major projects as well as develops and maintains manufacturing processes associated with the specific product lines and machine equipment. This person will direct supporting personnel on projects.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develops/implements new processes as well as maintains existing processes with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost optimization. Prepare supporting documentation to substantiate said changes to the process.
  • Work with Quality, R&D and Manufacturing to resolve/improve quality issues with products.
  • Must be team worker, self-motivated, innovative; have well-disciplined engineering habits; be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.
  • Update computer system (SAP/PC Based) to make changes to processes, routings and Bill of Materials.
  • Participate with multi-functional teams to solve production problems.
  • Ensure EH&S considerations during design and/or making changes to the facility.
  • Design, plan and layout plant systems, equipment, workstations, and facilities based upon general concepts/requirements minimizing required floor space. Work with Maintenance and/or outside contractors on the electrical, ventilation, and compressed air requirements for such areas.
  • Coordinate activities of maintenance personnel during various stages of equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support for startup of new equipment and ensure that all equipment properly interfaces with other mechanical and electrical systems. Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Adhere to all safe work practices and/or safety policies.
  • Specify OEM's equipment that would improve processes, productivity, and quality. Prepare substantiating documentation to support installation of said equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Three to Five years' experience as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Manufacturing in related industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with computers to include AutoCAD Light/Word/Excel.
  • Works well on teams.

Pay Range:

$82,267.00-$95,708.00
