JOB SUMMARY


  • Perform project management and estimating for multiple projects with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, subcontractor quotes, etc.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of construction management required (Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience are also acceptable).
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, codes); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must have a safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • PM Certified.
  • Emphasis on signals and lighting projects preferred.
  • Electrical project management preferred.
  • IMSA level 1 or 2 certifications helpful.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform project management and estimating for multiple projects, including a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, subcontractor quotes, etc.


  • Develop and submit bids to prospective Prime Contractors.
  • Develop material/equipment lists for prospective bids and projects.
  • Request quotes from electrical suppliers and issue Purchase Orders for projects.
  • Collect and submit electrical shop drawings for projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings and contractual requirements. This includes tracking shop drawing submittals, reviews and approvals.
  • Receive and verify accuracy of order deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Coordination of manpower, equipment and materials with the Project Superintendent.
  • Coordination and verification of utility locates on projects.
  • Tracking and collection of daily work items completed on projects.
  • Track project actual costs against budgeted costs.
  • Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required). Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Investigate any situations with potential project impacts, mitigate wherever possible, and initiate correcting actions as necessary.
  • Supervise total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, codes & standards, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.
  • Responsible for the productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance/compliance with the project.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all project documentation, including but not limited to correspondence, billing, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, schedules, etc.
  • Supervision of subcontractors as required by the contract.
  • Ensure company and industry safety policies and procedures are being followed on projects. Investigate, report, and correct any safety-related incidents.
  • Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items, as required.
  • Duties may be performed in either an office or field office environment.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned. Job tasks may vary depending on the project, location, and available staff.
