I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Provides automation support and design for Treasury's implementation of strategic plans to improve enterprise support capabilities. Projects include process change/improvement related to collections/disbursement and recommendations and implementation of new products.
2. Responsible for development and maintenance of treasury applications, including, but not limited to Workday, banking platforms and users, Merchant Service Platforms, legacy applications, Epic, etc.
3. Works closely with business to minimize financial risk. Ensures liquidity and reviews forecasted needs. Monthly reporting and journal entry review.
4. Designs, builds, tests, and maintains assigned applications and interfaces. Develops, implements, and maintains policy and procedures.
5. Educates Treasury staff and business personnel in the use of emerging bank and treasury technologies, as well as existing systems and platforms.
6. Responsible for review and approval of all bank reconciliations.
7. Ensures compliance with all state escheatment rules and regulations.
8. Represents UMass Memorial at various professional meetings and seminars, as needed (e.g., AFP, HFMA, NACHA, etc.) Maintains active dialog and contact with other treasury professionals and banking experts to stay current with the latest trends in bank/treasury technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitors and reports on available cash, cash flow, and financial forecasts day to day and periodically, including account balances, cash movement, bills, and taxes.
2. Researches and reports on financial, regulatory, and legal changes that affect organization's environment.
3. Monitors treasury and credit tracking.
4. Approves and releases payments, execute investing or borrowing activities when required.
5. Provides support for Investments and Pension operations.
6. Approves I/C settlements and reconciliations.
7. Manages Corporate Expense Card program. Tracks profitability, risks and losses, letter of credit requirements, and other financial data.
8. Coordinates with external financial institutions to establish and maintain accounts and awareness.
9. Collaborates and provides support for Accounts Payable.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
Preferred:
1. Master's degree in Business Administration.

2. CPA or CTP designation.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Five (5) years of relevant Treasury application experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
2. Demonstrated leadership.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, particularly as related to corporate budgets, financial statements and cash flow forecasting and reconciliation in multi-billion-dollar, multi-organization enterprise.
4. Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills.
5. Ability to adapt to changes quickly and handle confidential data with care
6. Must be highly organized, results-oriented and have excellent time management skills.
7. Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
8. Excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills.
9. Ability to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-thought-out conclusions.
10. Demonstrated strong project management skills.
11. Attention to detail and accuracy.
12. Interested in process improvement.
13. Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills.
14. Working knowledge of treasury systems, merchant services, investments and banking solutions including cash accounting and bank account reconciliation processes.
Preferred:
1. Supervisory experience.
