Acara Solution is looking for an Analog Power Design Engineer for Our client located in McLeansville, NC.
- As an Analog Power Design Engineer for Undersea Systems, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems.
- The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Power System architecture and grounding
- Isolated Switching Converters
- Transmission Line Effects in power systems
- EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE)
- Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
- Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience should include multiple power topology design experiences from a few watts to KW+ converters.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Circuit Design
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
- Minimum 5 years of Feedback / Control systems experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Magnetics Design and High-Speed Design experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success in leading design teams for complex projects
- Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
