SUMMARY

Prepares shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Pulls parts from printed pick lists.

Packs and crates orders for shipment.

Attaches shipping instructions to outgoing materials.

Performs daily safety inspection of department forklifts.

Safely operates industrial forklift truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products in the shipping department.

Inspects shipments for correct materials, packing, tagging, and handling instructions.

Completes inventory audits when necessary.

Cleans and organizes work area.

Assists with the receiving function as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training and a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in safely operating forklift equipment; ability to obtain and maintain a forklift driver's license.
