Software Development Manager

$150,000 to $165,000

ONSITE - Greenwood Village, CO

This position is annual bonus eligible

The Software Development Manager will be responsible for managing and collaborating, directly and indirectly, with various teams; responsible for the marketing vision, technical direction and delivering quality applications and user experience. They will manage the integrations of the various web site/brands. They will ensure we document, manage, maintain all sub branded websites and apply enterprise governance standards.
The Software Development Manager is expected to provide innovative solutions to GMR Enterprise and Marketing team as this role is a client facing role. The Software Development Manager will focus on innovation and the need to look to the future for new technology solutions to optimize development process, product quality, and to meet the continually changing needs of our clients. The ideal candidate would have excellent communications skills and relationship management skills as well as analyze cost/benefit of feature selection; gather and analyze data and the ability to communicate the results to Project Manager as well as other members of the Management team.

Responsibilities
* Manage multiple technical projects and technical resources simultaneously.
* Work with the team to qualify designs and design changes for products, processes, and equipment. Collect, analyze, and document customer requirements, identify customer needs and develop solutions for those needs.
* Coordinate the review of new product hardware and software opportunities. Identify product requirements, develop project plans and carry out design activities.
* Enforce development best practices including TDD, code review, and code security.
* Developing and maintaining necessary documentation.
* Stay up to speed with new technologies and development tools.
* Participate from a management perspective in the software validation process through development, review and quality testing.
* Work closely with business development analysts to gather, understand business requirements
* Work closely with the tech leads and the scrum masters to size work and prepare to provide LOE to the management.
* Work closely with the QA team to define and carry out necessary tests i.e. unit, integration, performance
* Work closely with the scrum masters to develop, maintain and produce software development measures/KPIs for the management team.
* Select, assess, develop, mentor, manage and retain top technical talent. Manage resources, including interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications:

Education & Industry Experience

  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business or related field
  • Kentico or other CMS, Enterprise Compliance and Security Design, SQL
  • Credentials/Licenses: CMS Certifications
