a.i. solutions is seeking a dedicated Senior HR Manager/Business Partner to lead the HR functions for a NASA contract. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in labor relations, employee relations, HR administration, and talent acquisition serving as a strategic partner, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a collaborative work environment. This role requires exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and talent management skills to drive organizational success and maintain positive employee relations. This is a hybrid role that will require onsite support as needed at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.

Essential Roles/Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:



  • Implement innovative recruiting practices to attract qualified candidates, while maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates through a robust screening and vetting process
  • Possess detailed knowledge of program requirements while partnering with program leadership to staff positions in a timely manner
  • Create an approach to expand the pool of candidates to the WFF/Accomack region
  • Leverage relationships of current employees, professional associations, and universities to expand national and local connections to the WFF community
  • Lead the intern process by overseeing the local program lifecycle to ensure quality experience for interns while contributing to the organization's strategic goals


Labor Relations:



  • Serve as the primary contact for union representatives and collective bargaining agreements
  • Participate in negotiations, grievances, and dispute resolution processes as required
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations affecting unionized work environments


Employee Relations /Administration:



  • Implement and support policies to promote a positive workplace culture
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, concerns, and conflicts in a timely and fair manner
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Analyze trends and recommend initiatives to improve employee engagement
  • Support HR administration to include responding to employee communications in an accurate and timely manner, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Ensure accuracy of employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other relevant business systems


Minimum Qualifications:



  • 15 years of experience in the field of Human Resources or Labor Relations
  • BS Degree in Business Administration or a relative field of study or relevant years of experience
  • US Citizenship
