The pay for this position ranges from $112,000 - $125,000.

Summary:

As Manager, Testing and Conditioning, you will oversee 10 Technicians operating a 24/7/365 Conditioning operation in our Torrington Manufacturing Facility. In this role you will be responsible for the conditioning of manufactured modules received from Final Assembly. This includes the receipt, integration, conditioning, de-integration, prep to ship, and loading onto carriers completed modules to be delivered to our customers on time based on the company's master schedule.



Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Oversight of new PLC Logic changes as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering staff.
  2. Oversight of troubleshooting diagnose systems, PLC, and equipment problems.
  3. Direct preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
  4. Direct installation/replacement of plant equipment and systems.
  5. Oversight in maintaining and controlling the plant inventory system.
  6. Maintain and troubleshoot plant and workstation network communications.
  7. Install and maintain system terminal software.
  8. Maintain and troubleshoot plant control system, gas quality monitoring system and associated balance of plant instrumentation and control equipment.
  9. Direct revisions or modifications to plant systems, update controls drawings and schematics.
  10. Communicate and interact with inter-departmental personnel, vendors, and customers as necessary to accomplish tasks.
  11. Follow all approved plant operating, maintenance and health and safety procedures.
  12. Direct and support Hazard assessments and the responsibility in ensuring a safe work environment for conditioning personnel.
  13. Coordinates afterhours support to support emergency work, etc.
  14. Directs the development and implementation for activities in production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  15. Prioritizes production schedules based on customer demand, product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  16. Develops schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas.
  17. Selects, develops, and evaluates production personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  18. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital and expense expenditures.
  19. Perform other duties, as assigned.



Qualifications and Experience:



  • A bachelor's degree is required, along with at five years or more of experience in power plant operations or similar fields that generate electrical power. This experience must include leadership roles.
  • Alternatively, candidates with training from Navy Nuclear/Commercial Power Plants, or as an Electronics Technician, Gas Turbine Operator, Electrical Technician GSE, or Mechanical Technician GSM, with at least eight years of experience in power plant operations, including leadership positions, will also be considered.
