About the Role

The HRIS Technical Manager specializes in Workday Integrations, Security & Reporting and will be a key member of BetMGM' s HRIS team working on new initiatives, enhancements and support of HRIS systems, specifically Workday

They will focus on the following areas:

Integrations:

  • Expertise in Cloud Connect, APIs, EIBs, Workday Studio.
  • Gather requirements design solutions, build, test and deploy Integrations. Prepare detailed Transformation documentation for integrations.
  • Review, audit and enhance existing integrations to align with Workday's best practice recommendations and BetMGM' s needs.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and design long term solutions. Test enhancements and regression test Workday releases to ensure system functionality properly works, report defects and collaborate with peers to ensure the issues were fixed
  • Document requirements, specs, testing and prepare run books
  • Analyze existing business processes and make recommendations based on Workday's best practices and BetMGM' s needs.

Security:

  • Take ownership of BetMGM HR Systems security. Become the single point of contact for all matters related to security, permissions and access.
  • Analyze existing security groups and users in Workday. Provide recommendations to align with Workday's best practice recommendations and internal security teams (cybersecurity, audit etc.).
  • Lead change in an effective manner while considering user needs, compliance policies and regulatory procedures.
  • Periodically audit existing security and report concerns to leadership along with suggested next steps.
  • Document requirements, decisions made, configuration options, test results. Handle exceptions along with suitable documentation as needed.

Reporting:

  • Develop ad hoc queries relative to HR and Payroll data in collaboration with Senior HR Analyst
  • Develop a reporting strategy for BetMGM with People Analytics team, advise business on leveraging Workday standard reports Develop, maintain and run audit reports
  • Develop Ad-hoc reports, Advanced Matrix and Customer reports to meet business needs of BetMGM
  • Deliver complex, crucial BIRT reports for Go-live within limited time frames
  • Document requirements, decisions made, configuration options, test results. Handle exceptions along with suitable documentation as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison working with cross-functional business teams to translate complex business needs to effective design recommendations, system analysis, system configuration, testing, training and deployment activities.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve key issues impacting the Workday system and all impacting processes.
  • Take full ownership of the configuration of Workday modules. Identifying issues, resolution and then move forward to implement.
  • Actively support the HRIS team in optimizing employee experience.
  • Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards and professionalism to ensure privacy of employee records.
  • Provide regular updates on progress along with next steps to HRIS leadership and users.
  • Share knowledge and coach team members in all modules

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher/equivalent years of experience
  • Have 8+ years of experience with Workday with expertise in Workday Integrations, Security and Reporting.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Workday certification.
  • Expertise in EIB, XML, XSLT and Web Service technologies
  • Have strong IT skills in various stages of SDLC
  • Be an ambitious self-starter, proactive and passionate
  • Be able to communicate effectively. Should be able to deliver a clear, concise and consistent message.
  • Show empathy and interest in the problems of business and end users.
  • Be able to ask questions, propose solutions and enhancements to meet business needs.
  • Define scope, milestones, tasks, schedules and updates.
  • Focus on big picture while zeroing on critical issues and obstacles. Create mitigation plans in a timely manner.
  • Be a good team player and promote collaborations.
  • Be able to uncover root causes and suggest actionable solutions when encountered with issues.
  • Be willing to do what is needed to get the job done.
  • Have an open mind to criticism and act on feedback from others

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 to $145,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance -based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
