A Day In The Life The Director, National Sales under the leadership of the Vice President, Sales will support the process to increase the sales of GSFS finance and insurance (F&I) products and services to auto dealers and other distribution channels as identified by executive management throughout the U.S. The Director will be responsible for increasing the demand for GSFS products across the United States by; 1) utilizing existing relationships with Agents and Agencies, Consolidators and National Retailers to introduce GSFSGroup products and services, proven ability to move these relationships to be exclusive partner, 2) use existing relationships with aftermarket consumer product companies to establish and grow new revenue streams with product placement, 3) strengthen existing relationships with Consolidators and large dealer groups outside the GSD region by (re) introducing GSFSGroup products and services, 4) identify opportunities to increase sales volume, profitability, and value of GSFS to existing NSD partners, 5) recruit, train, and develop the skills of the regional managers. As a Director, National Sales you will:
- Analyze market opportunities and seek new channels for current and new GSFS products
- Implement a strategic sales plan based on market analysis; establish monthly goals; establish and develop follow-up mechanisms.
- Hire, train, direct, and coordinate the field team assigned to support our agent/agency, consolidator and national retail partners to achieve goals.
- Identify deficiencies, penetrations, and opportunities/challenges within each channel. Develop solutions to improve growth and revenue, products, client support / satisfaction / loyalty.
- Actively participate as a member of the GSFS Sales executive team in strategic and tactical decisions critical to the success of the sales department.
- Responsible for daily interaction with Current and Prospective Agency Principals, Consolidators, and National Retailers; coordination of appropriate sales development in the field and for managing sales results, which yield measurable revenue growth to GSFS.
- Develop operating plans for the most effective and efficient utilization of manpower resources and prioritization of servicing issues.
- Direct the prospecting, sales process, product installations and development of agent/agency, Consolidator, and National Retailer accounts, utilizing internal resources as appropriate.
- Where appropriate, coordinate executive management input into sales, income development and relationship building activities.
- Negotiate and resolve program agreements with clients and associated companies.
- Recommend new products and markets; provide supporting sales/marketing and financial rationale.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university Req
- 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
- Must have experience with and current relationships with consolidators, agents, and non-automotive distribution channels. Required

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe job requires significant domestic travel. As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
