Department Summary The Mail & Receiving Department at University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) is responsible for the efficient and secure handling, distribution, and delivery of all incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and freight for all Campus locations. This includes sorting and processing both campus mail and external deliveries, ensuring that all items are routed to the appropriate departments, faculty and staff in a timely manner. Position Overview The Mail & Receiving Clerk will oversee the receipt of all shipments, collection of mail, and distribution of both mail and packages across the campus. They will ensure that outgoing mail adheres to correct postage requirements, and that internal mail is promptly delivered. Additionally, they will accurately document all incoming shipments before distribution. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use office equipment, including related university software and email, to work successfully as a team member and independently with moderate supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience in handling Pitney Bowes SendSuite, postage machine, and/or Mail-related equipment.
