Department Summary The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is excited to announce the formation of its College of Nursing. The new college will help address the shortage of nurses in Texas, which has the second-fewest nurses per capita in the U.S. Position Overview This position serves as the Academic Communications Director for the Dean of the College of Nursing. This position provides and advises all parties on strategic communications, collegiate branding, marketing, and community and alumni relations. The role will have the opportunity to: Continually search for ways to provide value added solutions; Adapt to changing needs; Respond appropriately to new information and priority changes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of communications, marketing, and branding practices. Skill in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows navigation. Strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing marketing collateral design. Familiarity with development process for print and digital communications channels, including website and broadcast. Experience with story development, which includes conducting research and interviews, copy writing, editing and sourcing digital assets. Job Duties:
