Knowledge: Basic machine shop training or machine technology certificate or equivalent work experience; knowledge of machine set up, and tool changes. Basic blueprint reading capability, knowledge of gages and measurement techniques, and basic understanding of CNC codes and programming software; Machine Technology Associate degree is a plus. Skills: A minimum of six months on-site training as a machine operator or 3 years related work experience as a machinist. Good quality record. Reads and understands blueprints and work instructions to operate equipment and machine parts. Develop work instructions. Machine parts per blueprint. Demonstrates level of computer literacy to access Job and input data. Abilities: Perform tasks with little supervision; Utilize knowledge and skills to trouble- shoot issues; Able to effectively work on and manage multiple tasks daily, communicate professionally; Can be relied on to be at work and show flexibility with work schedule to support different shifts, work well with others, and shows aptitude to perform essential job functions above
Qualification Assessment: May be asked to demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities related to essential job functions. Two-year Technical Degree preferred. Work Conditions: Standing or walking up to 8-10 hours per day; Overtime including weekend work depending on Customer orders; Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 26 lbs.; Work in machining environment where cutting oils and machine noise is present.
