Acara Solutions is seeking a US Benefits Contractor to work with out client headquartered in Boston, MA. This position is 100% remote!
Pay: $35.00 - $37.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Location: REMOTE (EST timezone)
Job Type: 3-Month Contract
Overview
The role involves benefits administration, program analysis and implementation, employee support, and project management. Key responsibilities include partnering with HRIS and vendors to administer employee benefit programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting renewal activities, handling employee inquiries, and managing benefits communications. The contractor will also be responsible for project management within the benefits team, tracking progress and ensuring deliverables are met.

Benefits Administration:
- Partner with the HRIS and vendor partners to successfully administer US employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and well being programs/stipends.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, State Leave Compliance), as directed by Global Benefits Manager
- Within the procurement program, set up purchase orders, reconcile benefit invoices and resolve invoice discrepancies, as directed by Global Benefits Manager

Benefits Program Analysis and Implementation:
Support 2026 renewal activities as directed by Global Benefits Manager

Employee Support:
- Partner with the talent operations team to support employee inquiries on the programs, including questions, qualifying life event changes in coverage, and coordination of exit packages.

- Review Tier 2 requests as escalated by Talent Operations. Access various vendor systems to execute certain tasks.
- Execute on the benefits communications strategy, inclusive of employee facing communications, and maintain accurate and supportive information on The Pantry.
- Respond to escalated issues to support in advocating on behalf of with vendor partner and the benefits broker.

Project Management:
- Project manage the benefits team, identifying key milestones, documenting progress in Asana in support of keeping deliverables on track year over year.
