QUALITY LAB TECHS WANTED!!!!!
We are currently seeking candidates for a temp-to-hire opportunity at our client located on the north side of Milwaukee. Our client manufactures plastic zip ties and are actively accepting resumes for their Quality Lab Tech Team. Bus line accessible.
2nd Shift: 3pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime. Overtime is a "12 day on, 2 day off" schedule.
Payrate will be $18.30 an hour
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent required
  2. At least 1 year of previous QA experience
  3. Ability to read and understand blueprints
  4. Micrometer and caliper knowledge required
  5. Computer literacy preferred.
  6. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  7. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  8. Ability to use basic hand measuring tools
  9. Have basic math skills
  10. Injection Molding knowledge a plus
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, with guidance from the Quality Lab Tech Lead, the Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for the completion of testing and inspection, dimensional analysis and support of other departments within the company. This position requires the Technician be able to complete product/process inspections in a product environment as well as a lab environment while managing files and software. Overtime will be required including some weekend hours. This position will also maintain the company's TS16949/ISO14001/EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Essential Functions:
Understand Customer Expectations as they relate to Product Quality
Thrive in and help support a Team Atmosphere
Help support the company and team by mentoring Operators regarding Quality of Product
Perform 1st Piece Inspection of manufactured product
Perform in-process inspection of manufactured product
Perform Product specific tests including but not limited to tensile
Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming
Verify Material Certification and Approve raw material Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC computer file
File all QA records and samples (obsolete and current).
Use incoming color chip samples to verify colorant in receiving
Handle non-conforming material isolation and documentation
Perform a dimensional layout referencing the company's drawing
Use SPC software Record all inspection and test data.
Weigh parts.
Use control plans. PPAP and PPC testing.
Assist in maintaining the company's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Other Functions- Become a "Go To" person for production personnel regarding Quality of Product
Determine "Clean Point" when a non-conformance is found Support LEAN Work Environment
Other duties may be assigned.
All employees entering the Manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their position. Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment. Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet the needs of the department and customer.
