Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Certified Project Manager to join the Performance Improvement team. This role is Full-time working Monday to Friday, HYBRID.

Certified Project Manager Job Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity in expanding knowledge of healthcare in general and Inova specifically. Communicates new ideas and challenges ongoing assumptions, verbally and, when requested, in position papers and opportunity statements for program expansion or new program development opportunities.
  • Monitors general healthcare trends and issues specific to assigned responsibilities. Ties relevant findings to business plans.
  • Engages in continuing education, both internally and externally. Participates in and takes an active leadership role in professional associations.
  • Coordinates and supervises the full life cycle of program and project management activities for assigned programs and projects, from initiation through closure, following the best practices, and the PMO-defined project management methodologies.
  • Completes programs and projects as assigned and according to the parameters and timelines discussed and agreed on by the requested client (e.g., operating unit management, executive management, etc.).
  • Establishes and implements metrics that measure project performance. Tracks project metrics for all projects throughout the organization and maintains centralized accountability for project portfolio management.
  • Supports the assessment of current organizational project management capabilities that will serve as an initial maturity benchmarking effort. Determines needs and goals. Develops a conceptual roadmap that identifies the areas, timing, targets, and high-level schedule for agreed-upon improvements in project management practices.
  • Assists in the standardization of program and project management tools, processes, and policies, by industry best practices and organizational lessons learned.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.



Certified Project Manager Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: Full-time working 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, HYBRID.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering or related field or additional 4 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 8 years of related professional experience and 3 years of supervisory experience and has filled a variety of management and leadership roles for projects, programs and major initiatives. Has a lengthy track record as a hands-on manager for projects and programs. Has successfully created and/or applied a variety of methodologies practices, techniques, models and other processes in the course of a working project or program manager career.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (within 6 months of hire) & Certified Associate in Project Management (within 6 months of hire)
