Director, Forensics - Healthcare Consulting

Job Summary:

The Director is focused on the Healthcare industry verticals and responsible for project management, leading, managing, and directing staff in performing analysis, examination, review, assessment, and testing in a wide variety of healthcare related client engagements. In this role, the Director applies technical leadership experience in healthcare related fraud, disputes, compliance, and healthcare operational consulting. With a Managing Director or Principal, this position takes a leadership role in building out the Forensic Healthcare advisory practice. The Director serves as a designated point of contact with client personnel on engagements, thus good communication skills and a strong presence is required. This role collaborates with a Managing Director or Principal on business development initiatives, go to market strategies, thought leadership, and revenue generation targets.

Job Duties:



  • Manages and oversees engagements including methodologies related to healthcare related fraud, disputes, compliance, and operational consulting in verticals such as, hospitals, health systems, medical practices, skilled nursing facilities, physician practices, healthcare enterprises, and payers
  • Develops business through relationships, contacts, and other opportunities
  • Leads and actively participates in client discussions and meetings
  • Communicates with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear, concise, and accurate documents and requests
  • Analyzes the current business environment, understands client needs, assesses risks, and identifies recommendations/areas of improvement
  • Collaborates with a Managing Director/Principal in the development of business opportunities and proposals
  • Develops industry specific thought leadership articles and communications
  • Aides in the development of targeted and industry specific marketing materials
  • Monitors and implements industry trends and best practices; creates a positive, team-focused environment
  • Other duties as required


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Supervises projects, often multiple projects in healthcare fraud related engagements, disputes, compliance, and operational consulting
  • Acts as Career Advisor to Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates
  • Evaluates the performance of Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education



  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • MBA, JD, or MD, preferred


Experience



  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in developing business and managing relationships in the healthcare industry, required
  • Experience with medical billing practices, government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, HIPAA, regulatory compliance, clinical coding & medical billing review, CID, False Claims/Qui tam, preferred


License/Certification:



  • N/A


Software



  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, required
  • Experience leveraging data analytic tools to analyze patient trends, demographics, and fraudulent transactions, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $160,000 - $260,000
Maryland Range: $160,000 - $260,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $160,000 - $260,000
