Summer Intern - Accounting

Patriot Rail is currently looking for Summer Interns for its Corporate office in Jacksonville, FL. for its GL Accounting Team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with monthly accounting activities relevant to assigned areas, including preparing general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting processes
• Analyze financial data and transactions to identify significant fluctuations for review and accuracy
• Develop knowledge of systems, data, and reporting tools as well as understanding of the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounts, including transaction flow
• Review processes for improvement
• Develop productive working relationships with business partners
• Assist with ERP project within the accounting department
• Other Accounting & Finance projects, as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Proficiency in MS Outlook and office products

* Degree or working toward a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related degree program.

* Must possess flexibility with work assignments and be able to multi-task, have a great attitude and willing to learn.

* Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.

* Must have valid driver's license.

* 18 years of age or older
