As an Electronics Trade Instructor, you will provide electronics on-the-job-training and shop instruction for inmates. You will instruct maintenance and repair of electronic and mechanical devices used in radio, television, and the broadcast industry. You will also work with electronic components of cell doors and sliders. This position requires the ability to form effective working relationships and strong leadership skills to ensure inmates learn the standard practices, methods, and procedures of the electronics trade. In addition, you will maintain inmate attendance records and progress reports, oversee inmate work crews completing electronics work orders, and maintain order and discipline of inmates at all times.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,846 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years of experience in the testing and repair of electronic equipment; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
