ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Early Childhood Observational Assessment Product Manager to lead the development and commercialization of a cutting-edge early childhood observational assessment platform. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, early childhood education knowledge, and business acumen to ensure our product meets the needs of educators, administrators, and families while seamlessly integrating into existing classroom workflows.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our early childhood education (ECE) assessment experts, external research organizations, classroom educators and our technical team, translating teacher needs into functional product features. They will be responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle, from development to market launch, ensuring a user-friendly and impactful solution for the early childhood education sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead the end-to-end ECE assessment solution development and integration process, from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with educational best practices, user & market needs.
  • Act as a liaison between end-users (educators, administrators), ECE assessment experts, and the technical team to translate classroom assessment workflows, requirements into intuitive digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with Digital Product team (including engineering, design, and UX teams) to develop features that simplify observational assessment input and reporting.
  • Work with the product strategy team to define and prioritize the assessment development roadmap, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Conduct market research and user feedback to validate product concepts and optimize user experience.
  • Ensure assessment data is presented in clear, actionable reports that support decision-making for teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Work closely with product strategy, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop go-to-market strategies, state submissions, training materials, and product positioning for the assessment solution.


Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback and analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EdTech product management, preferably in early childhood education space.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood observational assessment practices and reporting needs.
  • Technical acumen to effectively communicate with engineering teams and translate user needs into high-level technical requirements
  • Experience working with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a user-centered mindset.
  • Passion for improving early childhood education through innovative technology solutions.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience as an ECE educator or administrator or educational research.
  • Familiarity with assessment frameworks such as Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, AEPS, DRDP, and COR Advantage, as well as screening tools like ASQ-3, ASQ:SE-2, and BDI-3.
  • Experience in SaaS product development for the education sector.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance in EdTech.
