As the Store Merchandising Analyst, your primary functions are to independently merchandise and stock products at various customer sites while monitoring and coordinating statistical information to support sales functions, monitoring achievements, and developing analytical reports based on market intelligence. You will prepare reports for and work with sales and marketing during the planning process, monitor sales, and analyst performance trends. In addition, you will maintain all Point-of-Sales materials and utilize current flavor schematics for all products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Store Merchandising: You will provide merchandising and retail support for all accounts, ensuring that Smithfield and Private Label items are properly placed on shelves. You will execute store sets, work with warehouses for product placement, and maintain all Point-of-Sales material. You will assist with promotions and advertising campaigns, develop relationships at various levels, and utilize market data to improve product placement and retail support. You will coordinate demos and training sessions to incorporate product knowledge, merchandising, and food safety as needed.

  • Customer Analytics: Your primary focus will be working with proprietary and confidential data for customers. You will act as a liaison between customers and the company, manage budgets, and provide forecast inputs.

  • Additional Analytic Duties: You will support the sales team by coordinating and analyzing sales activities and reports. You will create reports to track sales performance and trends, assisting with sales and trade activities. You will develop reports using BI tools, manage broker contracts, and coordinate retail execution with partners. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating meetings and special events.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field and 2+ years' relevant experience in data analytics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access).

  • Planning, organization, and execution skills.

  • Ability to travel 100% of the time.

  • Customer service and organizational skills.

  • Current driver's license and clean record, required.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Experience with Business Warehouse, SAP, Blacksmith, Vistex, or Sales Discovery is preferred.

  • Experience with Nielsen/IRI and other syndicated data, preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
