Occupational Therapist

Position Requirement:

Occupational Therapists must have credentials recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• A minimum of two years of experience in hospital or ambulatory care settings
• BLS through American Heart Association

• Assess patients for physical, mental, and cognitive deficits to determine functional challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to create personalized therapy programs.
• Select and apply therapy techniques best suited to each patient's condition for maximum results.
• Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment, including manual wheelchairs, splints, braces, and other durable medical equipment (DME).
• Assess therapeutic activities and necessary adaptations to support patient success.
• Provide specialized occupational therapy treatments, including:
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Cognitive therapy
  • Functional activity training
  • Upper extremity pain prevention and treatment
  • Adaptive equipment evaluations and prescriptions
  • Wound and lymphedema care
  • Custom splint fabrication
