Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for receiving and processing a high volume of invoices via direct input to Oracle or via an automated method. This position may also be responsible for various Vendor Management or Disbursement functions such as update/maintenance of the vendor master file, invoice reconciliation, vendor inquiries, and processing of payments.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and processes high-volume invoices on a timely and accurate basis, including specialized procedures for select vendors/types.
  • Uses advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate les from other departments or vendors for upload in Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite); analyzes data from various ad hoc reporting as requested.
  • Reconciles daily processing to ensure invoices are ready for payment; coordinates and releases payments via ACH (Automated Clearing House - Direct Deposit) or live check.
  • Communicates with nancial institutions to research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Suggests and assists in the implementation of operational process improvements.
  • Ensures vendor master le is accurate and up to date through regular communication with vendors and internal contacts; perform due diligence via public record websites as needed.
  • Reviews invoices against Purchase Orders; researches and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Payables database.
  • Follows record retention guidelines to ensure compliance with Federal and Company requirements; enforces Company policies and procedures and upholds confidentiality standards.
  • Develops and manages ongoing working relationships with vendors and Lightpathemployees at all levels to maximize the efciency of the department.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience required, including experience with high volume processing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with Vlookup, Macros, and Pivot Tables.
  • Microsoft Access and Oracle EBS experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
