Responsibilities

Join the Academic Section of Internal Medicine and be an integral part of building a newly accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph Medical Center!

Highlights:

    Receive a faculty appointment based on experience
  • See patients with medical residents and students in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Position involves rotations for inpatient, outpatient and skilled nursing care
  • Participate in teaching lectures and didactics as part of the core curriculum for the IM residency program
  • Provide mentorship to medical students and residents
  • Participate in program evaluation and resident evaluation

Position Details:

  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient care
  • Inpatient 7on/7off
  • Outpatient is M-F only
  • Shared equal call for all providers
  • On call on average 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff
  • Research opportunities present with a full time Director of Research available for assistance
  • All candidates must be board certified in internal medicine

Active Missouri License and DEA

Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
