A Brief Overview The Sourcing Analyst is a member of the Sourcing Team, which is responsible for supporting the contracting and sourcing requirements of the entire CHOP organization. This position reports to the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for executing RFx processes, including understanding the current market, risks, and suppliers in that space, through the e-procurement service offering across the CHOP enterprise. The Sourcing Analyst role is important in the business process of finding, evaluating, selecting and collaborating with current and potential suppliers via an online, web-based platform.
What you will do
- Coordinates the RFx process by working with category managers to organize and compile data, build RFx, and then review and complete supplier selection process. This work includes clarifying and analyzing the RFx responses.
- Well versed within procurement systems, contract management systems, and supplier onboarding processes
- Ability to apply contractual terms and conditions, spend thresholds etc. into RFx creation and evaluation
- Updates contract repository/contract management system, as well as assisting with contract renewals, GPO contract enrollment and uploading contract documentation for the category managers
- Tracks all sourcing events, savings, and rebates in the Savings Tracker for the team
- Collaborates as needed with Supplier Diversity Manager to meet diversity spend goals for patient care and commodities areas
- Where applicable, review and track KAPS (safety incidents) tracker for patient care areas, collaborating with clinical stakeholders, Risk, Patient Safety and vendors to correct a product issue and/or provide service recovery in an appropriate and satisfactory time frame
- Attend clinical stakeholder meetings as needed to provide support to Supply Chain patient care team for needs across the organization
- Set weekly cadence meetings with category managers to go over contract expirations, rebates and savings tracker
- Meet monthly (or as needed) with the Strategic Sourcing Manager to discuss team's contract statuses, KAPS updates, issues or upcoming projects
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience Qualifications
- At least three (3) years related experience in Analytical or Supply Chain role. Required
- Healthcare experience Preferred

- Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis
- Strong project management skills with ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, manage change

- Experience working in a healthcare provider environment, or with medical products, is a plus
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and associated concepts is preferred
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment
