Miscellaneous Machine & Grind - 1st Shift

Description

Set up, adjustment and operate stationary and portable hydro machines to test tube assemblies for leaks. Perform work per pressure specifications on drawings, reading gages and completing necessary paper work (control sheets, etc.)

• Set up, adjust and operate radial drill including set up of blocking fixtures and securing parts. Work to specifications using precision measuring instruments and plug gages. Set-ups subject to check and inspection.
• Perform a variety of duties including grinding of fabricated assemblies, plug gaging, and preparation of product for shipping (bundling, cleaning, straightening, etc.). Extensive use of overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and assemblies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing operations.

** NOTE: this position will be working a 4 day/10 hour schedule, Monday - Thursday from 4am-2:30pm. Possible OT on Friday and Saturday.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be capable pushing and pulling heavy loads.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Must have or be able to attain forklift certification. Experience with overhead cranes strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety measuring equipment including tape measures, dial gages and some precision measuring devices.
• We are willing to train individuals with good mechanical aptitude, sound math skills and a history of dependability.
