We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Cambridge, MA and ensure that our operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations, along with the ability to implement effective EHS&S programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to EHS regulations at local, state, and federal levels, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards and serve as the primary point of contact for EHS regulatory inquiries and audits, coordinating responses and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and assess their impact on employees and the environment, including work with relevant departments to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide EHS training and education to employees to promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  • Stay informed about emerging EHS regulations and trends, providing recommendations for proactive compliance measures.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential EHS incidents and coordinate drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS compliance management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and develop effective compliance strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve EHS goals and objectives.
  • Certification in EHS management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software applications.
