We are seeking a seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Engineer with expertise in pipeline projects within the oil and gas industry to work. This role involves leading the engineering and execution of pipeline projects from feasibility through design, material procurement and construction. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead pipeline design, engineering, and construction efforts for oil and gas transmission and distribution projects
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project success
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards
  • Provide technical leadership in pipeline routing, materials selection, stress analysis, and construction techniques
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations related to pipelines and related infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, DOT, CSA, PHMSA)
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain alignment on project objectives
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members
  • Drive innovation and process improvements in pipeline engineering and construction practices
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting pipeline projects



Candidate Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline); PE/P.Eng. license preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in pipeline projects within the oil and gas industry
  • Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, CAESAR II, AutoPipe, PipeSIM)
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline regulatory frameworks (e.g., PHMSA, DOT 49 CFR 192/195, CSA Z662)
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling, material selection, and construction methodologies
  • Strong understanding of key pipeline design interfaces: construction inputs (ROW, workspace design, constructability), geotechnical programs and design (terrain evaluation, geohazards), hydrotechnical program and design (scour depth, flood levels), and environmental interface a plus
  • Expertise in core pipeline engineering design, alignment sheet development, crossing design, route selection, pipeline sizing, material selection, buoyancy control, stress analysis, and hydrostatic testing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Work on high-impact pipeline projects that shape the energy industry
