Position Overview The Medical School VAMC/MS Research Manager will provide research administration and support services for the subset of faculty at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) who have research grants administered by the University of Minnesota/Medical School. This position will also serve as the primary staff liaison between the Medical School and the VAMC for all research-related work involving the Medical School. As such, the incumbent will provide day-to-day support for grant submissions, awards, and various administrative responsibilities for faculty with dual appointments, in addition to participating in school-wide Research Office activities. This individual is also responsible for establishing Medical School- wide infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support this subset of faculty. The VAMC/MS Research Manager will report to the Medical School's Director of Pre-Award & Proposal Development Services and will spend time on both the VAMC and Medical School campuses developing relationships within both organizations.
