Lead Test Engineer - On site in Basking Ridge, NJ

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Test Lead with 10 to 14 years of experience in Google Gson Mobile Development - Android Kotlin and Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and quality assurance with a focus on mobile applications. This hybrid role requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams to ensure the highest quality of software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the testing efforts for mobile applications developed using Android Kotlin and Java.
• Oversee the creation and execution of test plans test cases and test scripts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications to identify and document defects.
• Utilize Google Gson for efficient data serialization and deserialization in testing processes.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by performing functional regression and performance testing.
• Report and track defects using appropriate tools and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Communicate test results and progress to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mobile testing technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in Google Gson Mobile Development
• Android Kotlin and Java.
• Demonstrate expertise in creating and executing test plans test cases and test scripts.
• Have a solid understanding of mobile application testing and quality assurance practices.
• Show proficiency in using testing tools and defect tracking systems.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Display strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in Sales Development domain is a plus.
