ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The User Services Intern will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems while providing technical support to end-users. Responsibilities include installing and configuring software applications, performing routine system updates, documenting IS procedures, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives.

The role will collaborate with the IS team to enhance system performance, resolve technical issues, and contribute to ongoing technology projects. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new technologies are essential for success in this role.

This is an in-person position, requiring a presence in the office. Therefore, applicants must be in the Twin Cities for the duration of the internship.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

• Currently pursuing a degree in technology, such as Computer Science, IS, IT, or Software Engineering.

• Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist users.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing technical documentation.
• Able to accept feedback with a growth mindset and implement changes accordingly

Preferred:

• Prior experience with IS support, system administration, or troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms and virtual environments.
• Understanding of IS Project Management methodologies.
• A team-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to IS projects.
