$2,130.46 to $2,343.51 biweekly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Library. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings and weekends as needed. Performs experienced professional work cataloging library materials using a computerized system. Work involves reviewing entry-level phases of descriptive and subject cataloging, including basic original cataloging and classification, and assisting in developing and setting library-wide standards for cataloging and processing materials. May supervise paraprofessional, technical, and/or clerical staff as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Library Science, Library Information Science, or an equivalent OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in any field PLUS five (5) years of progressively responsible experience cataloging or copy cataloging and processing library materials OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field PLUS seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience cataloging or copy cataloging and processing library materials. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
