Overview

The Investor Relations & Product Development role involves the management of identifying new investors for product addition, facilitating meetings (both virtual and in-person), tracking performance metrics, researching, designing, and launching innovative mortgage loan products by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.

This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop product specifications, pricing strategies, implementation on plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and monitoring the performance of new products to make necessary adjustments.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Market Research and Analysis
    • Identify loan product gaps in both new and existing mortgage markets to develop new product ideas.
    • Analyze competitor products, pricing strategies, and market trends for consideration new product development.
    • Conduct loan officer surveys and focus groups to understand borrower needs and pain points.
  • Product Design and Development:
    • Develop detailed product specifications, including eligibility criteria, pricing structures, and loan features.
    • Collaborate with legal, compliance, marketing, and risk management teams to ensure products adhere to regulations.
    • Design product documentation and marketing materials.
  • Implementation and Launch
    • Work with technology to integrate new products into loan origination and pricing systems.
    • Develop training materials for sales teams and other internal stakeholders on new product offerings.
    • Create a go-to-market strategy, including marketing campaigns and communication plans.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) of new products, such as loan volume, origination costs, and margin spread.
    • Identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to product features and pricing.
    • Analyze market feedback and incorporate insignts into future product development.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in investor relations, product development, or capital markets within the mortgage industry.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending, loan origination, securitization, and MBS markets.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, risk assessment, and capital market trends.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (SEC, CFPB, FHFA, GSE guidelines).
  • Experience working with institutional investors, rating agencies, and government-backed loan programs.


Education

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
