As a Global Commercialization Manager for our Performance Materials division, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that align with market trends and customer needs. You will serve as the primary internal advocate for our commercial team and Ingevity's PM customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the Performance Materials organization, effectively working across company-wide functional groups and a passion for innovation.

How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute product strategies that align with company goals and market demands. Identify new product opportunities and drive their development.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with product development, manufacturing, and the global commercial team to ensure successful product development and launch. Facilitate communication between departments to align on objectives.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle, including product development, pricing strategy, positioning, forecasting and discontinuation. Champion the RFQ process for the commercial team to ensure accuracy, accountability, and timely delivery of new RFQ's.
  • Performance Analysis and Planning: Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and make recommendations for improvement. Develop and track KPIs to assess success. Work with the PM business and Ingevity's financial team through the annual financial planning process.
  • Product Demand and Production Planning: Work with the global commercial team and our internal planning team to maintain accurate product demand forecasts.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights. Use this information to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify trends, customer needs, and potential gaps in the market.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and safety standards. Collaborate with compliance teams to address any potential issues.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong understanding of chemical products, market dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining sustainable relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
