Job Overview The primary focus of the Medical Gas Plant Filler is to fill, and handle cylinder gases as directed by the Gas Plant Manager or his designee . The Gas Plant filler will perform other duties as directed. Some of those duties will include cylinder painting and maintenance, loading and unloading trucks, and occasional administrative functions. Responsibilities and Duties Fill cylinders with gases as directed. Assist in loading and unloading trucks as directed. Assist in pulling of orders as directed. Assist in completing all "full" cylinder branch orders each day as directed. Fulfill all "Quality Control / ACM" requirements as directed. Perform all appropriate safety inspections of cylinder before filling. Perform cylinder maintenance activities (cylinder painting, testing, etc.) as directed. Complete required paperwork / data entry for filling cylinders (especially applies to medical gases.) Present a professional image in appearance always. Ensure work area is well maintained and clean to present an "excellence" company image. Comply with safety regulations and requirement as instructed. Attend training as required. Generally, support fellow members of the gas plant team and perform other related duties as required. Understand that this is a medical gas environment and extreme attention to detail if required. Qualifications High school diplomas preferred. Basic reading and writing skills required. Basic computer skills required. Commercial drivers' license preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Stand and walk for eight-hour periods. Bend at the waist and knees frequently. Use full body force to tighten ratchet straps frequently.
