Description
We are hiring a Manger of Planning and Forecasting to develop and oversee the process of predicting future business trends and demands. This role will use data analysis to create accurate forecasts and translate into actionable plans to guide company operations while coordinating with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Who You Are:
You are an analytical person with proficiency in data manipulation and expertise in statistical forecasting techniques. You are knowledgeable in business operations and supply chain management and have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Planning and Forecasting experience
  • Proficient in data forecasting and analysis forecasting and tools
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain management
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Prior experience in the textile industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Data Analytics experience
  • Proficient in statistics
  • Prior leadership experience
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Creating item specific forecasts over a rolling time horizon to be used for ordering and inventory management purposes. Designing and developing systems tools and databases needed to implement planning/forecasting systems for business analysis and continual improvements of the inventory, purchase, reorder and special programs.
  • Creating integrated processes among Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute planning/replenishment schedule as required.
  • Establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to planning and forecasting and service; collect, organize and maintain data and perform data analysis and reporting to measure actual performance against goals and future performance on regular basis and recommend improvements based on understanding business processes and translating that into business solutions.
  • Developing ad hoc reporting and analysis for business units as needed.
  • Making reorder decisions and managing inventory to plan forecast and performance.
  • Managing fill rate to ensure the best service possible within the constraints of the goals set by Finance.
  • Managing the product purchasing function.
  • Recommending process design changes and identifies opportunities to improve existing procedures and related tools to meet the requirements of an evolving workflow process within the Inventory/Ops group.
  • Mentor and develop planners as well as manage day to day issues within the team.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for any changes that may impact MRP and its functionality in Epicor.
