Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the daily work flow of the Reconcilement, Data Entry, and Legal Units, including the supervision of employees, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner and consistent with the needs of the unit and the bank.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor the efficiency and accuracy of the work flow of the units.
  • Review daily and month-end reconcilement reports for accuracy. Report any issues to management.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all legal information requests and subpoenas.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various external vendors, including cash delivery channel representatives, various local and state regulatory departments, attorneys, and IOLA boards.
  • Work closely with other supervisors to ensure efficiency and accuracy in work completed by the department.
  • Interview and hire new staff, resolve employee issues, provide coaching and disciplinary action when needed and complete evaluations. Schedule and monitor PTO usage/requests.
  • Train new and current staff on process changes.
  • Work with various departments of the Bank to help ensure efficiency and productivity.

Ancillary Duties:

As an integral member of the Deposit Operations Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Deposit Operations Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • An Associate degree or equivalent with an emphasis in accounting, specialized deposit operations education and training, or equivalent experience in a similar regulated industry normally required.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills:

  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematical skills.
  • Above average interpersonal communications and supervisory skills; knowledge of the technical aspects of the deposit operations functions and knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, to include Microsoft Office.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience in Deposit Operations or related position required.
  • Previous supervisory or equivalent leadership experience normally required.
