Job Title: Site Finance Lead

Location(s): Massena, NY

Project Overview



  • Working with a site team, the Site Finance Lead provides technical oversight for finance activities, including: accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting.


Job Functions & Responsibilities



  • Verify that all accounting and budgeting activity is in accordance with Corporate Policies and Procedures and proper internal controls, process purchase requisitions, vouchers, journal entries, account reconciliations, payroll verification, per diem management, general plant recordkeeping, and inventory accuracy tests.
  • Assist in preparing annual Operating & Maintenance and Capital budgets and collaborate with site and cross-functional teams to develop an annual budget.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports, analysis and other monitoring tools to support the goals and targets for the site and Business Units.
  • Prepare various invoices , and ensure timely recording in accordance with accounting standards, and coordinate collection of receivables.
  • Approve and audit expenditures and commitments in accordance with client Expenditure Authorization Procedures.
  • Support activities performed by site accounting clerks.
  • Gain understanding of IBEW Union collective bargaining agreement, and maintain consistent application to all members.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, quantify, interpret, and report statistical data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail. Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with ability to build relationships across all levels of stakeholders.
  • Think strategically, to proactively understand customer needs, and provide solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Proficient in advanced technologies of Office 365 including SharePoint and creating Excel pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, advanced charting functions, etc., and financial information processing systems.
  • Experience in working with SAP or other ERP system required, data warehousing and enterprise asset management (Maximo) a plus.
  • Experience with utility accounting preferred.
  • Experience working in a Union environment preferred.


Education & Certifications



  • Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
