Job Description: Heavy Equipment Operator The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy machinery on construction sites and ensuring tasks are completed according to project specifications. Key responsibilities include: Safely operating machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes Performing excavation, grading, material handling, and lifting tasks as required by the project Interpreting blueprints and work orders to complete tasks accurately and efficiently Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment Conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues to prevent project delays Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress and address any issues Collaborating with the construction team to coordinate tasks and meet project milestones Passing a Disa test and holding a valid TWIC card to work on certain job sites Reports to: Superintendent Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Average OT: 5-10 hours/week This role requires a combination of technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, making it a vital part of any construction team's success. Additional Information: This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Travel to various job sites may be required based on project needs.
