White 9 is seeking a PCA, with Day and Night availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. White 9is a twenty-five-bed acute care medical unit. A majority of patients are admitted directly from the Emergency Department and have single or multi-system problems including, but not exclusively, alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, skin integrity and mental states. PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner. Required: Must haverecent experience,and/ortraining,in clinical patient care. Preferred:Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire,OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at leastone semester of patient care rotationscompleted, at time of hire.
