Physical Inventory Counts Manager - Sports/ENT

The position is responsible for one of the Physical Field Inventory counts teams and will function as an integral member of the inventory control teams. As such, the Manager will need a level of knowledge and proficiency in Inventory Systems Technology to assist the count team with potential problems or issues. The Manager of Physical Inventory Counts partners with other members of the Commercial Logistics team, Field Logistics personnel, Sales Professionals, Warehousing and Hospital personnel to achieve complete and accurate counts of Smith & Nephew inventory and assets.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare the count schedule and coordinate the Physical Field Inventory counts nationwide.
  • Through a team of auditors, perform the Field Inventory counts at customer/hospital sites, offices, storage units, warehouses and any other locations housing the Inventory.
  • Work with the field personnel and sales reps to complete the physical inventory counts within the allotted time.
  • Gain broad knowledge of the Field Inventory locations and field structure to prepare, maintain and distribute inventory reports and records as needed.
  • Conduct Pre-Audit calls with the Field and Sales Force
  • Hire and develop a team of highly proficient inventory counters
  • Coordinate Count Activities with the Finance Reconciliation team and with internal and external auditors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What will you need to be successful?

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related Business field such as Operations, Supply Chain Management, e.g. technical or managerial.
  • Orthopedic Product knowledge is a tremendous plus

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a related field, e.g. Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.
  • Advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office (excel, word, outlook, etc.)
  • Medical Device background desired

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $85-95,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, we provide competitive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, and generous PTO, paid company holidays annually and 8 hours of Volunteer time and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
