The Part-time Faculty, Veterinary Technician Coordinator is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format based on the approved course outline by selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure that the needs of individual students in the program are met.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Assess student learning using appropriate methods.

  • Conduct an engaging classroom lecture and/or lab based on the course outline.

  • Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving students in classroom discussions and/or activities.

  • Make arrangements for equipment and supplies or other activities as needed.

  • Complete all course assessments as required.

  • Use technology to enhance teaching/learning in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • A licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician must have graduated from an AVMA or CVMA-accredited program.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Health Sciences, Education, or a related field.
