Cost Analyst I

Responsibilities may include:



  • Lead role in project cost tracking and forecasting
  • Supervision of contract employees hired to assist with turnaround cost tracking efforts
  • Provide daily cost forecasts during turnarounds, with a level of detail that enables decisions to control costs and meet budget expectations
  • Prepare monthly cost accruals and reconcile accruals in the following month
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to communicate project cost status and cost forecasts
  • Assist the Turnaround and Technical Teams with preparation of their annual budgets


Qualifications - Basic/Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Proficient in the use of SAP modules Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook)


Preferred:



  • 5 or more years of project cost tracking and forecasting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Working knowledge of Primavera scheduling software
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Works independently without much supervision
  • Functional expertise in accounting/finance
  • Proficient with cost tracking systems
  • Strong analytical skills
