Responsibilities

    Provide day-to-day support to our Project Managers in all the fiscal aspects of their projects from contract
  • Set up an accounting system for monthly billing and financial analysis
  • Assist in establishing billing rates and job classifications for professional service contracts
  • Recording transactions such as expenses and sales revenue
  • Processing payments to utilities and vendors to pay for supplies, materials, and other expenses
  • Sending bills to customers to request payment for services or goods provided
  • Reconciling accounts and making notes of debits and credits that have not been posted
  • Printing paychecks and initiating direct deposits to pay employees
  • Generating financial reports as requested
  • Identifying and correcting any errors that occur due to data entry


Qualifications

  • 3+ years prior accounting experience
  • BSBA in Accounting is preferred
  • Prior A&E or related experience along with BST accounting software is a strong plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a job cost accounting environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Effective time management with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Data entry skills to record transactions quickly without making errors
  • Ability to use accounting software programs such as QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws
  • Strong analytical skills to locate and correct errors
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to keep information from various accounts separate
  • Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day
  • Time management skills to ensure that reports are completed, and payments are received on time

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
