Responsible for supporting all aspects of Pricing and Contracting. Support includes, but is not limited to, extensive reporting and analysis, comprehensive contract management and pro-active, forwarding thinking and business decision support and partner with the Commercial Pricing and Contracting leadership and field based teams.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated with strong technical, analytical and leadership competencies, problem solver and solution oriented. Possess above average project management skills, including effectively managing multiples priorities in a fast paced and time sensitive environment, process oriented with focus on continuous process improvements to maximize effectiveness and efficiencies and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with sales executives.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the sales teams by providing pre-contract sensitivity analysis, including price and revenue modeling, profitability and revenue risk exposure, and manage pricing approval process via our contract management system and business unit guidelines.

  • Develop, interpret and disseminate contract specific performance reporting and trend analysis to the supported sales organizations in a timely manner, leveraging the reporting available through the contract management system and producing customized contract reporting as required.

  • Provide sales personnel with guidance as required on the strategic intent and parameters of the available sales programs and guidelines.

  • Support the sales organizations' requirements in the development of RFP/contract responses, including customer facing material, and coordination of the contract document requirements.

  • Provide account level and contract sales reporting to field sales organizations and external customers.

  • Utilize the contract management system tools and adhere to defined corporate sales operations processes, providing the sales management organization with the necessary information to make quality business decisions, optimize revenue and ensure post contract contracting reporting and compliance measurement.

  • Maintain a complete understanding of contract requirements to ensure all applicable contract obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Identify and support implementation of best practices, processes and tools to ensure effective workflow throughout the contract lifecycle, consistent process execution and unified approaches that maximizes sales support execution, quality, effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: bachelor's degree preferably in business, finance or marketing

  • Experience: 5+ Years experience as a Pricing Analyst, Medical Device Pricing Analyst experience preferred.

  • Strategic and critical thinking, Innovative, analytical mindset

  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully work independently.

  • Detail oriented with a dedication to accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities, must be able to adapt to change.

  • High sense of urgency to turn around large volume of work.

  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration

  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication

  • Contract principles/language/concepts

  • Proficient with MS skills - Power point and excel.

  • Travel Requirements: Domestic - up to 25%

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $86,250.00 - $100,000.00 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
