Plant Electrician -- Beaver

Rate of Pay: $66.23/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Beaver Plant will be conducting an outage for Unit 3 combustion turbine to conduct a major inspection and to install a combustion upgrade. Additionally, the steam turbine will take an outage to execute critical summer readiness items and prepare for follow on major inspection in 2026Plant Electrician

This is a limited duration position expected to last 2 months.

Under the direction of the Electrical Foreman install, test, repair, and maintain lighting, power and control circuits and other electrical equipment associated with generating plant operation at the Company's Beaver facility.

DUTIES:

  • Install and maintain motors, regulators, exciters, generators, switchboards, indoor and outdoor automatic and manual switchgear, instruments, transformers, conduit, relays, electronic devices, brushes, slip rings, commutators, and other project equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed corrective and preventive maintenance to support equipment history files.
  • Check and assist in maintaining station batteries and chargers.
  • Work without direct supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work on temporary assignment at other locations as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold or have successfully held a position as a Plant Electrician or
  • Must have completed an apprenticeship program consistent with the duties of a Plant Electrician or
  • Out-of-Classification electrical journeyman bidders must successfully pass the PGE Plant Electrician exam.
  • Must have a minimum of three years-demonstrated work experience at the journeyman level consistent with the duties of a Plant Electrician.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed. These reports will be discussed with the employee by his/her immediate supervisor, and copies of each will be given to him/her.

Salary Range:

$66.23 - $66.23

Starting pay is listed in the job posting above. Salary range determined by the current collective bargaining agreement and may include step increases based on time in the position.
