JOB SUMMARY

Plan, implement and supervise safety programs in compliance with OSHA & corporate safety program standards.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • Four-year occupational safety/health degree or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
  • Minimum of five years construction and/or industrial safety experience.
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essential
  • Must have a valid drivers' license with a safe driving record.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Previously worked in a manufacturing environment


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to details, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work in extreme elements
  • Excellent communication, supervisory skills are essential
  • Must be able to follow all PPE requirements
  • Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide overall leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of safety processes for all aspects including regulatory agency compliance, and employee Safety knowledge.
  • Responsible for the contentious development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
  • Provide recommendations to company management and executive leadership for effective workplace safety program.
  • Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contacting supervisory personnel, as needed.
  • Responsible to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organization to create a culture that prioritizes effective safety engagement.
  • Coordinate and document safety training of personnel as needed
  • Document all accidents, violations, unsafe conditions and activities
  • Required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures, and implement appropriate corrective action as required
  • Must be able to travel to all six WSE locations for training, conferences, or any other necessary events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
